This hotel deserves its 5 star rating and provides everything that one would expect from the top hotel in Barcelona. The service was exceptional and the breakfast was unbelievable for choice and quality. I would definitely recommend this hotel to people who require that little bit extra pampering.

We had a wonderful time and the staff at the Grand Marina Hotel looked after us very well.
We loved the location, the silence and the facilities. A bit pricy, but then again - it's 5 stars.

Excellent cleanliness and service in this 5-star hotel. Fabulous buffet breakfast (including Moet&Chandon Champagne!). Location is quiet, but has no local bars or restaurants - a good 5 minutes walk to Las Ramblas. However, taxi's are cheap. Roof-top swimming pool is tiny.
great location, in the middle of the old harbour, with a very pleasant top floor with (small) pool and (medium sized but well-equipped gym). Breakfast buffet is very good, with possibility to enjoy the tables in the courtyard. If anything negative, it is the bland architecture of the building.

Excellent hotel if you'd like to stay over for just the weekend. Transportation is well taken care of and the hotel itself is wonderful. 
We had a fantastic holiday at this hotel. It had everything we were looking for and more - we'll definitely be back!
This hotel exceeded our expectations is every catagory. 
The hotel was absolutely wonderful. Great position and the premier rooms were fantastic. The bathrooms alone were as big as a bedroom. You really do need to get a view from the front or port side. If you get a room at the back you will look onto the trade centre and miss out on the city or sea view. We had the 6th floor and with the ships in port we really did feel we were on a cruise sometimes. We recieved complimentary cava and chocolates due to our anniversary. All in all the sun shone on a fantastic hotel and we can't wait to visit again.
The Grand Marina Hotel Barcelona is one of the most amazing hotels that I have been to. The service was excellent, the food was great, and the room with the ocean and city view that they gave us was amazing. The location is fantastic, you are only about three blocks away from Las Ramblas, the main street with shops and restaurants. And if you want to take the two story bus tour, it stops right at the hotel. 
The restaurant could have been better.
This is a misleading information on the Hotel website. The room photo showed separate shower and bath tub but it is only presented in suit room. It is standard facility in the Intercontinental Hotel in Madrid. There is not electric boiler for hot tea in the room with this grade (5 stars) and price. I also got electric boiler in the Intercontinental Hotel in Madrid. However, the room is spacious as comparing with other hotel room in Europe. 
Excellent buffet breakfast. Beautiful, spacious rooms. Lovely views of city and marina. 5 minutes from heart of the city. 
We much enjoyed our stay at The Grand Marina, Barcelona and we would particularly comment on the friendly, helpful and efficient attitude of the staff. The location is superb because you can benefit from being within close proximity of the City and in particular La Ramblas but as the The Grand Marina also has also a ocean side it provides for quite peaceful accomodation.
The price was acceptable for the quality of the hotel.

Great Hotel...really enjoyed staying there.
The room facilities were excellent. It is a modern hotel with high ceilings and therefore the bar and dining facilities lack the intemacy of a more traditional 5 star hotel. 
overcharging for telephone calls is a regular hotel scam but never have I been overcharged as badly as by this hotel - not only was the charge outrageous but they had the nerve to charge for the same call twice! €89 for 28 minutes on a local call (internet dial up) was ridiculous, 2 times that figure was unbelievable. In the following week I made similar calls in another Spanish hotel for about €5 and in a French hotel for €2.50.
Swimming pool was cold and rather small. [visited Oct ] Breakfast was very good. Bar drinks were expencive. Staff were first class.
The room service degenerated over the five day period. Had it continued as it started it would have been excellent, but it lost it's way on day two and never recovered. At the price this is not acceptable. What appeared to be complimentary quarter bottle of wine appeared every day. We were subsequently charged. Again, at the price just not acceptable.
Our room was directly adjacent to the dock where 2 huge cruise liners were mored, not only did this completely block any view, the noise from the engines and tanoy systems was dreadful. The beds were very hard and when we complained were told a mattress topper would be provided, but this never happened. There was very poor lighting in the bathroom. 
Prezzo, senza il forfait HotelClub, veramente eccessivo per chi non è in viaggio d'affari e paga con i suoi soldi... Servizio abbastanza anonimo. Breakfast ottimo.
A great hotel, very modern and close enough to everything but quiet with excellent service 
Fabulous hotel great location, lovely people. Would highly recommend this hotel to any traveller. We were spoiled as it was our honeymoon and they brought us chocolate covered strawberries and champagne as a gift. We would go back there.
